Capital Health Region Training Programs Door Prizes May 8-11, 2006)

An email from Carla Rieger:

I am a speaker and trainer doing 4 full day training programs in Edmonton in early May (May 8-11). We would like to invite you to participate as a sponsor by providing door prizes. For example, we are thinking of gift baskets or gift certificates.

As we give out each door prize we are happy to make a short announcement about your products and services and put out any flyers or brochures that you'd like. Attendees are all administrative people from the Capital Health Region. It will happen at the Alberta Teacher's Association Conference Centre and each day there will be 218 people attending, mostly women (about 97%). In total we will be doing these 8 sessions (2 a day) for almost 900 people over the four days.

Let us know if there are some door prizes that you would like to offer.

Thank you
Carla

Mother Earth & Me Aboriginal Head Start June 3, 2006        Parent/Caregiver Advisory Committee

An email from Lorrie Law:

In June of 1981, the Ben Calf Robe Society was established to act as a support system for the school, providing counseling programs and general assistance. Services have grown and now focus primarily on the needs of Aboriginal children and families whose lives have been affected by dysfunction, abuse, intergenerational effects of residential schools, addictions, poverty, isolation from their culture and unemployment. Our fundamental beliefs reflect those of our namesake, Ben Calf Robe, a Blackfoot Elder and survivor, who worked to bridge the gap between the mainstream population and the Aboriginal people by combining the power of formal education with traditional Native culture. The Mother Earth & Me Aboriginal Head Start is one of the many programs offered through the Ben Calf Robe Society. This program prepares three and four-year old children with cultural knowledge and skills needed to excel in the school system and everyday living.

On June 3rd, 2006 we are recognizing our Aboriginal students and their Parents/Caregivers for their efforts, and achievements throughout the year. This event, our Annual Year End Family Picnic is a time to send the students and their families off for a happy summer holiday. We would like to present those who are being recognized with not only with a certificate, but a gift as well. Our Parent/Caregiver Advisory Committee (PAC) is looking to successful Edmonton businesses such as yourselves for support in obtaining these gifts. It is the hope of our PAC that your business will be able to help with donations of gift certificates, promotional products, or store products to be given to these very deserving recipients, or to make the Picnic an even bigger success. In return you will be recognized verbally and written form as proud sponsor of our program and the Mother Earth & Me Head Start.

Equilibrium was honored to sponsor such a worth while community event and has donated a gift certificate for a hour treatment with a gift bag.
